2. Accepting these terms

By creating an account or using FindMyBalance, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information, keep your sign-in method secure and tell us promptly if you believe someone has accessed your account. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless the law says otherwise.

4. A wellbeing tool, not medical advice

FindMyBalance helps adults record food, movement, hydration and progress. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Nutrition, calorie, activity and other results may be incomplete or inaccurate. Do not rely on the app for urgent or clinical decisions. Seek qualified professional advice where appropriate.

5. Optional AI and data features

Meal-photo analysis, barcode information, voice search and other automated results are estimates or aids only. You must review information before saving or acting on it. Availability, limits and supported devices may change. You must not use these features to submit unlawful content, other people’s confidential information or content you do not have permission to process.

6. Acceptable use

• Do not misuse, disrupt, reverse engineer or attempt unauthorised access to the service.
• Do not automate account creation, evade limits or overload optional scanning and search features.
• Do not use FindMyBalance for unlawful, fraudulent or harmful activity.
• Do not upload malware or content that infringes another person’s rights.

We may apply reasonable rate limits and security checks, including hCaptcha, to protect the service.

7. Free service, ads and no-ads purchase

The core service is intended to be available free with advertising. An optional one-time £4.99 in-app purchase removes ads from the app, subject to final store pricing and availability. Apple or Google processes the transaction. Their store terms, taxes, family-sharing rules and refund processes may apply. Nothing in these terms limits your mandatory UK consumer rights.

8. Third-party services

Some features rely on Apple, Google, Supabase, OpenAI, Google AdMob, hCaptcha and food-data providers. Their availability and terms may affect the feature. FindMyBalance is not responsible for a third-party service beyond what applicable law requires.

9. Availability and changes

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may maintain, improve, limit or discontinue features where reasonably necessary. Where a change materially affects paid functionality or your rights, we will provide appropriate notice and remedies required by law.

10. Intellectual property

FindMyBalance, its branding, software and original content belong to the operator or its licensors. We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app for its intended purpose while these terms apply.

11. Privacy and account deletion

Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. You can permanently delete your account from inside the app; the Account Deletion page explains the steps and alternative request route.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or close access where reasonably necessary for serious misuse, security, legal compliance or persistent breach of these terms. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

13. Liability

Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your mandatory consumer rights. Subject to those protections, FindMyBalance is provided for personal wellbeing use and we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable or arise from using estimates as professional advice.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, while any mandatory rights you have under the law of your country of residence continue to apply. Courts with lawful jurisdiction may hear disputes.
